Anyone out there who is familiar with the new fibroid treatment where the blood vessels are snipped?

I am not sure what the proper name for this procedure is I believe it's fairly new. So, far I've heard that it's done laproscopic and the blood vessels around the fibroid are cut w/ a laser and then the blood supply is cut off from the fibroid causing it to shrink up and fall out on it's own. Anyone know if this causes infertility? or have any additional info. about this procedure? THANKS!!
