Caffeine and fibroids?

I love coffee and tea. I usually drink 1 cup of either per day, I am moderate. But I keep on hearing caffeine aggravates estrogen levels in the body and can contribute to the develop of fibroids. Fibroids run in my family so I'm wondering if I should cut out caffeine altogether?

1 cup of day - that's not bad at all. Most things aren't harmful in moderation like that. There are some caffeinated herbal teas that are supposed to help with hormonal balance and keep fibroids from growing any larger - if I can find the link again I'll come back and post it.

I really dont think you have to worry. Drinking 1 cup a day of either coffee or tea isnt going to play a factor. I drink about 3 cups a day and I also have had fibroids in my family and my dr says I have nothing to worry about so I dont think that you do. Take care.

I don't think as long as your drink 1 cup a day. Everyone needs a little caffine in there diet. With your family having the history of fibroids I would ask them if they cut it out completely or if they still have a little. But if its still unclear talk to the doctor. But I would think as long as its in moderate usage and its only 1 cup a day (as long as its not the HUGE Mug of the world) you should be fine. If its a big concern cut that down by 1/2 and only drink 1/2 a cup a day. Then you still have that caffine in your diet.
