Exercise that I can do in my home that are quiet. and with Fibromyalgia?

I would like to know if there is an exercise that I can do in my home that are quiet. I live on the 2nd floor and the people below say they can here everything. Pulse I like to work out at night so that the other thing when they are sleeping, it鈥檚 also when my kids are in bed and I can workout better.

Now other details, I have fibromyalgia so I need a low impact. I don鈥檛 want to have to buy any equipment ether we are broke lol. Another thing is I have RLS so im looking about something I can do with my legs to tire them out to sleep but not to the point I cramp up.

I am overweight and desperate to lose the weight but not killing me, or my pocket鈥?.

And please people be nice鈥? If you don鈥檛 have something nice to say don鈥檛 say it at all鈥?

Thank you to all who post.

The key to any form of exercise is balance. I used to do weight lifting and running in order to gain strength and be physically fit. Because of severe fibro (it wasn't called that then), I ended up doing more harm than good. My body became stiffer and the pain and cramps got worse. Whatever form of exercise you choose to do, always balance it with relaxation. And I don't mean just sitting or lying around and doing nothing. There are specific ways to relax that ease chronic tension and lessen the severity of fibro symptoms. Focused relaxation and meditation are good. These forms will also balance your metabolism to help with weight conditions.
Try the following relaxation 'exercise': spend 10 - 20 minutes, twice a day, lying down, and focusing on each part of the body for about 10 seconds, eg. right foot (count to 10 if that makes it easier), then the left foot, right lower leg, left lower leg etc. Resist the urge to move and turn, just observe and focus, stop if you become too restless. The effect is cumulative but it works. And, it is a very quiet exercise!
I also had RLS (another recently invented term) but relaxation techniques will help with that too because RLS is really an attempt to deal with pain and discomfort.
I am not a doctor (call be an N.D.) but have done extensive research, learned much from my own experience, and wrote a book about self-healing.

hmm, try stomach crunches (NOT SITUPS), push ups, and lunges, also, do them carefully and slowly, ALWAYS WARM UP, AND WARM DOWN. =) to warm up, try shaking your body, but doing it so that you aren't picking your feet off the ground. to warm down do stretches.

You have to be very careful about your exercising with your fibro, or I do.. it flairs up on me if I am to active.. I to am over weight.. but I do chair exercises.. I have COPD, so can not do to much or am out of breath.. am on oxygen 24/7 too.. but you can get you 2 cans of like green beans and use them to strengthen your arms.. use them like you would weights.. curl your arms to your shoulders with them.. repeat 20 times to start.. and work your way up.. wrap magazines around your ankles for your leg lifts.. costs you no money for leg weights.. and can be done from a chair.. so no damage trying to get up from the floor, and your neighbors won't hear you..
Just use your imagination and you can come up with all sort of things to use as exercise equipment, that won't cost you hardly anything.. just use things you already have around the house.. but be careful.. don't want to bring on a fibro flair..

The best thing you can do it to take a walk.. take the kids for a walk, go to the park, and swing.. that will give your legs exercise.. if you have a dog, take the dog for a walk, he will love it.. good luck..
