Could it be Fibromyalgia??

Hey Everybody!

I've got a question for all you fibromyalgia victims.

I have had increased Chronic pain in my shoulder's,shoulder blades,neck,mid/lower back ,hips and knee's.

I have had this problem for about 4 months now.

The pain is terrible. In the morning I can barely move, because I am so stiff.

At work, I can barely concentrate because of all the pain.

Eeeeekkkkk.

I made a doctor's appoinment for later on today.

I would just like some info. on what to expect from the doc. and if this pain that I'm having does sound like FM.

Please help!

Thanks so much.

btw, this pain is also tender to the touch.

Sometimes it hurts to slip pants or a shirt on.

I am not a Victim, I have Fibro and Rheumatoid Arthritis and a few other problems, because someone has to have them!
Morning stiffness, depends on how long it lasts and you do not say. Likewise you are still able to get up and get out to work, so I guess it does not last that long. Your Doc should examine you, ask some tell tale questions, do some blood tests and tell you to return when all the results are back. He/She will be able to rule out certain problems and rule in certain problems, when they have all the results back. It could just be you need a new mattress. As I always say 'The Waiting is the Hardest Part!' Good Luck

Fibromyalgia is everywhere, could be.
When you go to the doctor he will check certain areas on your body (pressure points), they are the tell-tale signs.

Krippin Virus!

Yikes Rose...So sorry to hear this, it really does sound like FMS..very much so~~Tis good you're going to see your Doctor..what to expect from the doc, you ask? Well, let's start with does your doc believe in FMS?? Often, Dr.s do not believe it to be real as there are no actual tests aside from the patient reporting the symptoms..so it's a toss up!! The reality of it all is that it IS real, the agonizing pain IS real as are the many other symptoms that make life unbearable at times...I hope for you that you have a great Doctor..you're gonna need one if you do have it! The pain has got to be treated as does the rest of the body...You sound like an upbeat person and that truly helps..yet the pain itself will eventually get you down..no matter, if you do in fact have this, make sure your Doc does believe in FMS and is willing to treat you properly...(a lil note on a newly popular drug being used to treat FMS..tis called Lyrica..Careful with it..I've heard nothing but negative reports on it..gaining 30lbs in 2 mos. among many other nasties) Wow, There's so much to this ugly 'affliction' that one could write pages..if you do wind up with a diagnosis and need someone to talk to..just say so! My Very BEST to YOU..hugs~hope~health & happiness
