Is it possible that I have fibromyalgia?

For years, my arms, between my shoulder and elbow, have been extremely sensitive to pain. If someone pokes me too hard to get my attention, or punches me playfully, it feels like they've punched a bruise, though there is never any outward sign of bruising.
I seem to remember it starting in the 7th grade, because between classes me and two of my friends would walk in a horizontal line, and bump the middle person back and forth between us. I remember getting bruises from that, and so when people poked me after that and it hurt, I always thought it was because of that. But five years later, it really shouldn't hurt.
The only other explanation is that I gave myself permanent nerve damage, but it was only a game... it wasn't like boys playing arms, either, it wasn't THAT vicious.
But today, if people poke me or punch me and I say "ow!" they don't even BELIEVE me. They ask how that could possibly have hurt.

My mom has been to medical school, but is not in practice as an MD. So she said it could be fibromyalgia, but we really don't know.
It only happens on my arms. If I bump one getting into the car, it feels like there's a bruise for a couple minutes. It might even feel tender throughout the day. This can't be normal.

Fms generally in more widespread-upper and lower body-front and back...

but, I do have that symptom-scatching an itch can make me double over in pain---

it is a possibility-

look for a tender point chart-trying pressing on them yourself to see if it hurts--there are 18 around the body-11 tender is an offical guideline for Fibromyalgia-but can be less-

you will have to play around-move your finger about an inch or 2 in the area the tenderspot is to make sure you actually hit it

It could also be a number of other things-especially with the easy bruising-maybe somethingn as simple as vitamin deficiency...

I've got fibromyalgia and it's nothing like your talking about. It feels like the aches you have during the flu or like acid running through your veins in different parts of your body. I don't bruise all that much more than others, but I'm not sure if that's a symptom that some have.

My mother has fibromyalgia and that is the symptoms that she has. Some of the medications that she is on is helping her and some isn't so I would suggest for you to see a doctor to stop the pain.

I麓m not a doctor but I dare to say you don麓t have Fibromyalgia. The main symptoms of Fibro are: Pain in muscles and joints, chronic fatigue, stiffness, sleeping problems, intestinal sensitivity, depression, hypersensitive vision or ear, dizziness, migraine, menstrual pain, etc.
Your symptoms are more likely you have problems with your circulatory system. You may need vitamin K supplements and cardiovascular exercise to make your veins more resistant, like weight lifting.
I'd recomend you to go to a cardiologist.

You haven鈥檛 been feeling right for a long time and everyone you talked to including your doctor, have pretty much made it clear that they think it鈥檚 all in your head. The doctor ran all kinds of tests and nothing showed up; no arthritis or lupus or anything else. No matter what the rest of the world says though, you know that your constant, chronic fatigue and unexplained pain aren鈥檛 normal. The whole thing is becoming rather depressing and it鈥檚 time to question your doctor about the fibromyalgia symptoms and the likelihood of it affecting your health. Just to review let鈥檚 go over the common signs of fibromyalgia and some of the less common ones as well just for good measure.
