I've heard of anadyne therapy working on pain managment and wound healing. I have never personally administered it, so I can't say that I've seen it work. But the studies I've read looked pretty convincing. Check with a rehab facility (either an outpatient center or an inpatient hospital) to see if they offer it. You'd need a doctor's order, of course, but it's painless and not invasive.

I'm not to sure about the Fibromyalgia , but I heard it is Bad , But I have IC and i know what pain is , so I would just tell the Doctor , and see what he has to say. You Might Be on the wrong Medications , and there not strong enough. Or there could be something that you are doing that is irritating you like something u are wearing or eating , or just doing to much. Try and rest and take it easy till you see the Doctor.
Good Luck , I will Pray for you.

Lyrica is the one that worked for me, really knocked it on the head. The tegratol did not work, but Lyrica has, along with Evening Primrose Oil, and Valium, but I have RA, Psoriasis, and a few other problems. I did not know I had Fibromyalgia, until the Doc did a physical exam and asked me a few questions, which I thought I answered correctly. Came as a shock, but with other things already diagnosed, felt this was the least of my problems. Best of Luck

I too was on the mission for a solution to this horrible life sentence. A Naturopathic Dr. helped me start my journey. I work with women mainly ,feeling hormonal deficiency a culprit in the diagnostic treatment. I was treated with Armour thyroid medication ,even tho my test proved to be negative.I had a full base line menopausal work up with a struggle from my Dr. who said I was too young. It also proved I was low in estrogen, with low DHEA, as well as testosterone. DHEA is the hormone balancer.
At this time pain diminished, mental fog decreased, joint aches and pain gone.On low dosages I was good for a few years. Then needing more insight I found a book on The Thyroid Solution.A Dr. Rida Arem, an endocrinologist. In his book I found a woman with very similar symptoms ,took my new found information to my Dr.He agreed to try thyroid meds with both the 3T & 4T levels. It has been great.Your personal journey may be a different, but a simular one.You will need to find a great Dr. This will be your your biggest obstacle.
Once over this hurtle, have faith and do take your book along,Dr.s who are not up to speed on these issues will need Dr.Ridha Arem data of clinical studies.

Experts estimate that as many 27 million Americans have thyroid gland disorders and half of the cases go undiagnosed. The thyroid is the master gland of metabolism and regulates many body systems. Since Oprah went public with the struggles related to her thyroid imbalance, more women and physicians than ever are looking into thyroid imbalance as a potential cause of their symptoms.

Dr. Arem says symptoms can include fatigue, increased hunger and cravings, depression, anxiety, difficulty sleeping, difficulty staying warm, elevated blood pressure, dry skin, hair loss, heavy menstrual cycles, fertility problems

have had fibro for over 12 yrs. I take Guaifenesin for my fibro. You have to learn how to take the med properly for it to work on fibro. Here is a book you need to get either from a library or you could get it at ebay or amazon cheaper than a bookstore.

It is not a cure and it is not a pain
med but it has allowed me to stop taking prescription pain meds. I used to take them constantly. Check it out.

Some alternative treatments will ease the symptoms...but nothig is a cure--anything that claims to be a cure is quackery--vreated by people trying to make money or by people who never really had the disease (like hypochondriacs) and found a 'cure' that works just because they Think it works.

Ice, positioning, bracing and compression (elastic bandages) help me.
