unlikely... if you have shortness of breath from fibromyalgia it wouldn't be sporadic... if its sporadic it could be anything from asthma to heart disease...

i have that symptom...there are times I feel like I am actually suffocating

but I am actually breathing fine--it's the central nervous system getting/sending wrong signals.

it is a common symptom to feel like you can't breath (due to muscles that work your lungs) but actually breathing fine

the fatigue and weakness of FMS can cause you to be short of breath-but not in the traditional sense of your lungs or heart not working right-

it is because of things like the extra exertion necessary with FMS or the mixed up neurological symptoms.

FMS has been believed to be a disorder of the central nervous system for about 10 years-not musculoskeletal or autoimmune
