I have degenerative disc disease c2 through t1 and fibromyalgia do I qualify for disability?

I have degenerative disc disease c2 through t1 and fibromyalgia do I qualify for disability?

Fibromyalgia is on the list of acceptable disease/disorders for SSDI. However, most states will deny you instantly - and blatantly. If you go to the SS page for info (you can even start your application on their site) they will tell you which states deny you automatically. It's the gov's way of weeding out people that are trying to cheat the system. You may want to just look up an attorney that takes on SS cases and have him/her do the paperwork from square one.

Just so you're not discouraged about obtaining a SS attorney, the government does put a max cap of what fee they can charge and it's low. It also isn't paid in advance, they get their fee only when you get all of your retro pay.

Good luck!

you just might especially if you are in chronic pain (duh I know ) and it effects you ability to walk more than 10 ft unassisted , to dress your self to work or care for your daily hygenic needs such as bathing or cleaning house. It also depends on if you can get your doctor to classify you disable and then you have to file and hope you get a compassionate judge to read your file.
