What to do for my fibromyalgia??!?!?!?

I just recently went to see a pain management specialist for my back pain, and he told me that i have fibromyalgia, joint deterioration (in my shoulders and hips), a dislocated disk and a herniated disk in my back.

Does anyone know any homeopathic or herbal ways to help my pain?
Also if anyone does have any info on anything at all about any of this (as i really don't understand it all) please let me know!!!!

Also, im only 20, i was never in a car accident, i just had a little boy, and i am in so much pain daily.

I have already gotton 2 Cortozone shots in my back, but they didn't help, physical therapy made it worse, i am taking painkillers every 4 hours for pain, i need some guidance.

I also dont have money for acupressure, or acupuncture, or massages every week.

Just some info, thanks so much!!!

Get checked for viruses like epstein barr or other herpes viruses like HHV6 (not the same as the other herpes we know about)

Try getting myers cocktails which are iv drips that naturopaths are more familiar with.

Regular massage is good.

Exercise is most important and you have to start really slow like walk around the block.

If you can't afford massage and it isn't covered on your health insurance you can go to massage schools and go to the student clinics and go to people who are about to graduate.
Physical therapy should be covered on your insurance. You should try another one who understands fibromyalgia more.

Stop eating sugar and gluten as they can add to inflammation.

In diagnosing fibromyalgia (a chronic condition characterized by fatigue, widespread pain in your muscles, ligaments and tendons, and multiple tender points), one of the most difficult parts a doctor has to face is the wide variety of symptoms associated with this disorder. There is no one set test to be performed that will give the health care professional a definitive answer. It becomes a trial and error exercise that often leaves the patient and doctor very frustrated. The general description of the symptoms of fibromyalgia includes chronic fatigue, irregular sleep patterns, and pain all over the body. For each patient, the symptoms also vary in severity making the disease even harder to pinpoint. It would be much simpler to treat and possibly cure fibromyalgia if doctors know exactly what causes it. As it is, they only have possible theories to work with. Some experts believe it may be a pain sensitivity in the brain that causes the brain to over react to stimulus of any kind. There are also theories that support the idea that fibromyalgia is the result of an infection or illness. In a nutshell, the medical jury is certainly still out on the causes of the fibromyalgia syndrome. To make a good treatment of this disorder, a special blend of very specific types of magnesium in the proper form, purity and manufacturing process can help your body absorb more oxygen at the cellular level and aid in the production of ATP which fuels your body and gives you the energy to do everyday things without fatigue and muscle pain.

DOCTORS!!!!

I did not study much about fibromyalgia in college, but I did touch base on it briefly. I know that it is a very painfull(algia) situation. About.com has a whole section on holistic healing and homeopathic solutions. I think that may be a very good place to start. A healthy diet is one thing I remember going along with that particular ailment. Since you are only 20, you do not want hip replacement by 30; so ask you doctor what types of food or vitamins that would aid in decreasing the deteration rate. Sorry, to hear this as you are not deserving of such a thing. Keep ypur hopes high, and remember there is a reason somewhere!

Homeopathic, I don't know.

Talk to your doctor about Lyrica or Cymbalta. If you're not nursing those would be two good medications to try. People with fibromyalgia generally have trouble with their sleep cycles or depression or both. It is just the way you are wired.

Fibromyalgia is real. You are not a head case. Irritable bowel people are wired differently also. Just because your wired differently doesn't make your illness not exist.

Look it up on this website http://voucher.cymbalta.com they have a section for natural remedies. You can also help control it through staying away from curtain foods. Replace eating chicken, pork, or ground beef. Instead eat salmon, mackerel, or halibut two times each week. Also start using canola or olive oil in place of vegetable oil. Eat walnuts, almonds, or pecans with salads. Try using sliced avocados in stead of cheese in your sandwiches. Try omega-3 fortified eggs. Try to start using Flax seeds in yogurt. Add salads to you dinner each night. My grandma has it too and I just did some research for her last night. I hope this helps.
