Does anyone have any true info re. replacing amalgam fillings as a way to end fibromyalgia?

I've read some articles by people who swear they have eliminated some of/or all of the fibromyalgia pain in their body by replacing their amalgam metal fillings (with other, better fillings). They are saying that they are gettting so-called slow poisoning from mercury in their old (20+ years) amalgam fillings or other metal in their mouth every time they chew and swallow. There have been recent articles by patients having this procedure done - but - all the dentists are saying that the mercury is too molecular to even be concerned about it - but if you have ALOT of fillings, wouldn't it kind of make sense? It also hasn't been given much notice by the medical community, but, hey, the medical community ALSO said that hormone replacement therapy helped stop heart attacks, when it actually INCREASED IT - so - any thoughts???

I would not be surprised to be honest.
I'm also not sure what dentists you're listening to or polling about this. My dentist refuses to put Amalgam fillings in for any of his patients, even upon request, because of the harm that mercury poisoning presents. This harm is exacerbated by drinking hot liquids, too!

I have not heard of replacing Amalgam fillings with Porcelain or Gold being a remedy for Fibromyalgia, but I would not be surprised to find a connection. If a person has many fillings, that would in fact increase their exposure to mercury release, and (depending on the person's sensetivity to mercury) may cause fatigue and headache, which may also be symptoms of Fibromyalgia.

The real question is: Which are the symptoms related to? Does the patient truly have Fibromyalgia, or are they feeling the effects of Mercury exposure?

Unfortunately, I do not think this is true. I have Fibromyalgia and I have no fillings. I have never had any dental work aside from cleanings and checkups. I wish there was an easy cure but so far there is none.

Don't pay attention to the thumbs down-they are from teh FIBROFRUIT guy who doesn'tr know about REAL Fibromyalgia and is only tryign to sell his product and essentially steal your money-

I've never heard of that-but it does sound somewhat logical--but be weary--there are many people out there claiming to have found 'cures' that are nothing more than quackery.
