Fibromyalgia and excerise..? |
i want to get skinny for this summer, but i have fibromyalgia and other health issues hindering me. I've tried pilates, but it takes FOREVER to get results. What should i do? After finally getting the fibromyalgia diagnosis you really didn鈥檛 want, but now at least you know what the problem is, there are a lot of things you are going to want to learn about how to care for yourself and your condition. Details like medications, exercise plans, and a fibromyalgia diet are going to have to be reviewed. It鈥檚 important to be patient in the days and months following your diagnosis. The treatments of fibromyalgia are a trial and error practice. What works for one patient may not work for another one. As difficult as it is, keep your eye on the prize and in the meantime take a proactive stand with your own health. It's amazing how people get past level 1-when they don't actually attempt to answer questions...... Have you ever tried Zumba Fitness? It is a super fun exercise that includes 70% dance with 30% interval training. I HATE to evercise but I love to Zumba. After regaining weight from having a gastric bypass, I began to see results when I started to Zumba. The real changes are toning and geting shapely. People think I have lost a lot of weight but the truth is I've increased my muscle mass and toned up and dropped body fat percentage. And that feels better than a number on the scale! Good luck. I recommend swimming as there is little resistance on the muscles and allows you to exercise without feeling the pain. But be careful because there is little resistance you don't notice it when you are over doing it so try timing your amount of exercise so you dont end up taking steps backwards in the process. Walk...walk...walk! Cut your food portions in half. Cut out sugars and sweets. Increase fresh veggies. Decrease fats. Drink plenty of water. Cut back on salt intake. Be kind to yourself in other ways...you're a beautiful person...a strong person...AND you can do anything you set your mind to! Go for it! kjl Swimming, water aerobics, anything in the water. It is resistant but dose not put undue pressure on bones and joints. for muscle spasms eat some fennel seeds ,for fibro. take kava kava at night |
