Will a chiropractor help with my fibromyalgia and reactive arthritis?

i got diagnosed with fibromyalgia and reactive arthritus yesterday. any help or advice from others effected by both these things greatly appreciated, thanks!

I have fibromyalgia, and found that osteopaths and chiropractors didn't help. Other than my usual medication, (check out Fibromyalgia association website for a lot of helpful info) I have a regular holistic massage. Some people find acupuncture helps, but I didn't, found it far too painful.
You have my sympathy, especially as a lot of people not only won't have heard of fibromyalgia, but won't understand how much it affects your daily life.

Fibromyalgia is beelieved to be a disorder of the central nervous system--specifically teh way teh brain uses the brain chemicals--not a spinal disorder treateed by a chiropracter=

spinal problems may mimic Fibromylagia--that is why there are reports of people being cured by chiropractic--those people did not have real Fibromyalgia..

A chiropractor can help if you have secondary back problems that complicate the Fibromyalgia-but will not help teh fibromyalgia itself.

I would definitely recommend consulting with a chiropractor. The benefits of chiropractic care are unbelievable. They can relieve ailments that you would never imagine were related to a misaligned spine.
