I have Fibromyalgia, I am in very bad pain.? |
Hurts to do anything and everything. Any suggestions on dealing w/pain. I hurt everywhere, cant sleep, cant clean, hurts to type and sure cant write. cant stand a long time nor sit for a long time. Cant work out because I wont be able to move the night of and the next day due to sever pain, so now I am gaining weight. Please someone help, doctors are at a stand still and just want to put meds down me, every visit is a new drug to try, well I am tired of drug taking every day..... As a fibro sufferrer of over 5 years I know what you are going through. The best thing I have found is massage therapy. I go every 2 weeks and it helps relieve some pain and the headaches. Other than that I take Robaxacet at night which helps alleviate some pain and it also causes drowsiness which helps with the sleep problems. Get the sleeping under control! I ended up having to bite the bullet and take some prescription sleeping pills just to get that under control but now I am off them which is great and able to get a decent sleep most nights. Once you can get a decent sleep then you will begin to hurt less because when you are tired the fibro hurts more. Try the massage and try a hot tub just to get some temporary relief. Good luck and take care! Hi! I was diagnosed about 1 yr ago. I'm on Cymbalta. I was on Lyrica and it didn't help much but I've heard several people say they liked it. Lyrica made me gain weight which didn't help my condition. I also go to physical therapy 2 times a week and it helps a little. They teach me stretches, a few strengthening exercises and do massage. They also have a hydro-bed which is very nice. The main thing I have learned that helps is to get as much rest as you can. I have 2 kids so it's not easy but it's essential. I wear comfy shoes and try to stay somewhat active but don't push myself too hard or I'll flare. My rheumatologist suggested yoga. I hope some of this helps. I know it's frustrating but just know you aren't alone. HI! My sister has Fibro and she takes Lyrica. They say that it works well for people with Fibro. Sorry u are hurting so much. Hope u get better soon!!!!!!!!!!!! |
