I would like to hear from people who have fibromyalgia and have had lap band surgery.? |
What are the results you have experienced and are you glad that you did the procedure I don't know where moonshine annie got her info but she must have been in the moonshine jug too long. Fibromyalgia is a real medical condition. I have suffered with it for 30 years. It is chronic widespread pain in muscles, tendons and ligaments. It causes fatigue, sleep disturbances, IBS,chest pain, headaches, multiple tender points, facial pain, depression, numbness, dry eyes, skin and mouth, difficulty concentrating, mood changes, dizziness, and anxiety just to name a few. It has nothing to do with the lap band surgery so I don't know why you asked this question but for more info on fibromyalgia go to the mayo clinic website and type in fibromyalgia. It also can affect your autonomic nervous system and CNS . Fibromyalgia is simply a term use by doctors to say: " Yes, we believe that you believe you have pain, but! We don't know what is causing your pain, so we will call it, Fibromyalgia!" It has nothing to do with sap band surgery! unlike teh first 2 posters-I can see how lap band surgery would be beneficial to someone with FMS-- |
