Good jobs for those with fibromyalgia? Any experience with this sort of thing?

I am currently looking for a job and I have a pretty bad case of Fibromyalgia. I can't think straight, forget easily, I on some days can't walk or really get out of bed.. Always tired, I can't stand longer then 10 or so minutes. You get my point. I just was wondering if there is a job that I could do with that. I do want to work and I want to do it well. I am really open to anything at this point

I would think that something part-time might be good for you.

You can take a medical billing course and work at home as a medical biller. You can work your own hours, from bed if you have to. It's an up and coming field. The hardest thing is getting your foot in the door. There's a one-year correspondence course put out by AHIMA (American Health Information Management Association) that is a home study program. That will give you a good start. When it's time to look for a job, you might need to work in an office for a while, but many medical offices and hospitals are sending their billers (coders) home to work. Don't give up.
I once had a fibro specialist tell me that I had the worst case he had ever seen. But I work full time as a coding/billing consultant.

look for work where you can sit. Sectary or receptionist jobs. Brush up on computer skills so you can work from a computer. Once hired explain to your boss that you need breaks when you are stressed or tierd due to medical reasons. You should be aloud a 15 min break or a half hour lunch or maybe both. Good luck. You are not alone wondering this question. Just finding a job that will help pay insurance for FM is tough.
I hate them but you could be a telemarketer

look into what I am doing. I am studying medical Billing and Coding. Many places will let you work from home. Maybe medical transcription too.
