Can fibromyalgia make my white blood cells high?

Can fibromyalgia make my white blood cells high?

No, a high wihte count is generally an infection. Fibromyalgia by itself alters no blood tests. There is no test that says YES you have it, it is just process of elimination for everything else.

No.. FMS is non inflammatory and doesnt interact with blood cell issues.

The most common reason for having more white blood cells is presence of infection or your body trying to fight off infection....

or if you have a inflammatory condition a long with your FMS....

I have Juvenile Rheumatoid Arth and FMS.... and the JRA messes with my blood test but FMS is known to not cause abnormal labs which is why it's supposedly so controversal according to the medical model but anyays I digress...

If you're white blood cells continued to be high, that would be cause for concern but it's likely that you're body is fighting of some random thing and thus the WBC is up....

Good fortune

From what I understand(newly diagnosed) yes, it can. Especially if you have been taking cymbalta. But so can a lot of other things as well. It can sometimes be an inflamatory response due to joint and muscle swelling. If your concerned about it, or it has been going on a long time, ask you Dr about running more tests to rule out other things. Good luck and I hope you feel better.
