Anybody have/have experience with fibromyalgia?

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 2 years ago. I moved and had to switch doctors and now everyone says "the pain is in my head." I am in pain, frustrated, and fed up. My entire body feels as though it is one big bruise. I used to take Ultram (tramadol), but I had a seizure due to it and am no longer on it. I have tried Lyrica and other medications like that with no prevail. My doctor gave me 20 Loratab, but told me she cannot treat anything she "cannot see".

What do I do? I am in chronic pain and I cannot do anything anymore. I am lucky to get a shower anymore. Nobody seems to even listen nor believe that I am in the pain. Going to the emergency room isn't exactly an option. I don't want a narcotic, is there any other non-narcotic pain relievers besides what is over the counter?

Your doctor is 100% correct, but not because she knows the cause of fibromyalgia. You do not need medication, because the pain is not physiological. The symptoms of fibromyalgia are of a supernatural origin (a ghost). By the way, your seizure was not do to the medication; it was as a result of this spirit as well.

As strange as this sounds, you may get relief from your pain by merely recognizing that the causative spirit exists, and communicating with it. You have nothing to loss by trying the following suggestion, and you cannot be embarrassed.

Try thinking (you do not have to actually say the words) to this unseen spirit, "hello, can you hear me?" You will most likely hear the causative spirit's response in your mind as if it was your thought. This type of communication is colloquially called telepathy, and is how spirits communicate. It is also how God hears our prayers.

Some final thoughts: Be nice to this spirit, as it has helped you, regardless of how you may feel upon your realization. This spirit is the Holy Spirit, which makes you one of the saints found in the scriptures.

Yes my mother has it and i have been diagnosed with the early stages of it and i am only 21 yrs. IT IS NOT IN YOUR HEAD. dont think about what these doctors say or ppl. You have to watch out with what you eat, get anough rest, take vitamis everyday and excercise. That really helps. Massages does to. My mother does acupuncture and massage therapy and that really helps her. It helps me too.

you need to try to regulate your neuro system--studies are showing problems with blood profusion and use of neurptransmitters

the 3 approved meds are
cymbalta, savella (SNRI)
Lyrica (anti seizure)

there seems to be more hype than hope--but they do help some people....

you can ask at someplace like GNC about homeopathic meds that reguilate teh neuro system

Try massage and walking...gentle stretching exercises help too...

I am seeing a Dr. for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, who also treats Fibromyalgia. There are specific biological, bacterial and viral causes for both disorders, although they are difficult to test for and may require lengthy treatment.

It took me about 8 years and 10 Dr's until I found one who was knowledgeable about the specific testing, able to diagnose my EBV and CPn infections, and provide the treatment I needed. Along the way I also had one Dr. tell me my illness was 'all in my head'.

You need to see a Dr that is familiar with Fibromyalgia and also very knowledgeable about endocrine disorders, cellular biology, mycoplasm, viral and bacterial infections. This is usually an Internal Medicine Specialist, or a Infectious Disease Specialist.

There are many fibromyalgia support groups in Yahoo and on the internet. You should be able to find someone on one of these sites near you that can refer to to a qualified Dr. Good Luck

There are LOTS of things you can do to make your pain level lower. Please read my blog, go past all the fluff stuff and read the fibro posts. If you dont want to take narcotics you could focus on your diet, lifestyle, and try alternative therapies.

Pay special attention to the dietary things I posted about , try DRibose, and get a copy of the book : " Fibromyalgia & Chronic Myofascial Pain, A Survival Manual". By Dr Devin Starlanyl and Mary Ellen Copeland.

The more you know about what has worked for others the better off you will be.
