What treatment for fibromyalgia is best? |
medications the treatment that works for you Unfortunately there is no definitive answer for that. However I can tell you from personal experience that a combination of Lyrica and Effexor XR have helped me. However I have not tried Cymbalta or Savella. Your doctor would be the best person to answer that question since he/she knows your medical history. I agree with the previous post that there is a lot of hype about Fibromyalgia. Not because it's not real, just that in my opinion many doctors don't perform enough tests to rule out other causes before giving a diagnosis. I would suggest exhausting all other possibilities (testing for other conditions) before starting ANY drug. Lyrica and Effexor are both addicting and the withdrawl symptoms are horrendous. |
