Can children have fibromyalgia? |
i need to know because i am constantly in pain, but im only 15 3/4. my little sis might have it too, i need to know i worried about my lil sis my sis and i are ok, she just complains alot about her fingers, elbows, and other joints but i check her periodically. i only have major aches and pains , mainly stabbing sensations below my rib cage, and i am using a pencil to type because my fingers hurt too much to move them. Fibromyalgia is EXTREMELY uncommon in young women your age. It is usually not suspected in people under 30. It is usually caused by infection, medication problems, or trauma... go first to the rheumatologist, he is the one who diagnosed me. of course i will be 39 may 10, but there are 18 trigger points there called. if you have all 18 for sure you have it but also cold weather with me is the worst. there are days literally i can't get out of bed. there are lots of things that mimic fibromyalgia. but really see a rheumatologist first. he diagnose me. hope this helps. also the pain feels like its in the bones but its not. this is very painful believe me i understand. also there are different things that i noticed that make it worse such as, stress. don't overdue anything.if you feel like you have overdone it it's bad. i learned the hard way. good luck. Anyone is susceptible to fibromyalgia, but only after puberty. It's a neurosis. It's all in your head. Don't worry too much about it. If it gets unbearable, acupuncture works wonders. So does hypnosis and biofeedback. Psychotherapy works too, but it's really expensive to get a therapist who is talented enough to cure fibromyalgia. The people who live in Beverly Hills can afford psychoanalysis, but the rest of us are stuck. Yes, I think I've had it since I was a child.....unexplained pain and soreness, fibro fog, confusion from disturbed sleep. You and your sis need to see a doctor who deals with this condition to be evaluated. Most regular MDs do not know how to diagnose it. I can help you. you must go to http://medical-friend.blogspot.com/?q=fi... my symptoms started when I was 5-- |
