Hi freinds, I am suffering from fibromyalgia for 18 years.? |
Doctor has prescribed me cipralex tab 10 mg and advised to take it for 3 months. Is it any remedy for this disease? Pls. help me... The recommended treatments are Cymbalta and Savella which are SNRI antidepresants asn Lyrica which is an antiseizure dug Cipralex tab 10 mg is prescribed as an Anti Depressant. I am in a Fibromyalgia Support Group and some members have been Prescribed other Anti Depressant because they work on pain. Are you seeing a Rheumatologist? Also hi yourself! Im aileen, a longtime sufferer as well. Ive seen some HCP thinking that since depression causs pain and chronic pain causes depression, that if you treat just 1, the depression(which is what Cipralex treats), then the pain will go away. In reality, if its fibromyalgia and NOT depression, its not going to cure it.It MAY help allleviate any mood stress.....because fact is, chronic pain from any source nudges at you 24/7 no matter what thr meds they give.. Is on cymbalta for the mild depression, Lyrica and Vicodin and Robaxin for pain managment,because there IS no cure, just managing it better/as best you can huuuuuuuggggss hang in there!
