Can anyone tell me what is good for chronic back pain or fibromyalgia ? |
Nothing seems to work for me , nothing ... I have tied medication and excersise to no avail ! swimming!! when you are in the water, the pressure is taken off of the back and joints. it only provides temporary relief, but still feels really good!!! water work outs are also great because they have no impact. talk to an occupational therapist about exercises that may help. good luck!! http://www.fibromyalgiachat.com/... check here thats a good site my friend goes to. I recommend all natural Pain Relief Complex. Other chronic pain remedies on the market target only one of the two pain producing enzymes. Pain Relief Complex blocks both pain enzymes (COX-2 and 5-LOX) in a natural product that is safe with no side effects. Some pain remedies also block the enzyme (COX-1) that protects your stomach from acid - Pain Relief Complex does not. Hope this is useful and feel free to contact me with questions. I have a herniated disc and degenerative disc disease, my back hurts from dusk until dawn. The things I use to help the pain are aleve (helps a little) and percocet. Running actually stops the pain for a little while, probably the adrenaline. I excercise a few days a week to strengthen my back muscles, but nothing really seems to help. Consider surgery they are making incredible breakthroughs. Nothing is going to take the pain of fibromyalgia away but your pain management doc should be giving you something that will take the edge off and if he's not get another doctor. I really wish that I could help you as I too am in a similar situation. I did use Cybalta for about 6 months with good results, but after that period of time, it quit working and the pain returned 10 fold. You might try it though. It was a good 6 months and for those of us with fibro and other chronic pain, 6 months is a long time for ease of pain. |
