Can someone with Fibromyalgia suffer from migraines only?? |
I know someone who has migraines often but never suffers from aches or pains in the body. A doctor has "diagnosed" her with Fibromyalgia. Is this possible to have Fibromyalgia and only suffer from migraines and nothing else?? Yes, it's possible. No; she does not have Fibromyalgia. It is diagnosed with a specialist that can push on 'pressure points' on the body (elbow, shoulder, ect). If someone has Fibromyalgia they will hit the ground when these are pushed. People with Fibromyalgia will make ache and be in pain alot (especially in the joints). My mom & I both have Fibromyalgia. No. Migraines are a real clinical entity whereas... No. FMS has a long laundry list of symptoms. Many people with FMS also have migraines but the headaches themselves without the rest means that your friend has Migraines. They should see a good neuro Doc for assistance with the headaches. Experience Men Surviving FMS |
