I cant take life with fibromyalgia. What do i do? |
How am i meant to accept i have this forever? Being able to maybe manage it but still have it forever doesnt offer me hope ISABEL - please go to my profile then you can email me - need to speak with you Fibromyalgia with all its quirks and turns can be tolerated - not easily, but well. It seems from your other posts that depression (my former enemy) makes it 1000 times worse. Once you get that under control, all the other different problems won't bother you nearly as much. First, are you on an anti-depressant? If so, is the dose sufficient??? My meds and doses were changed many times until I found the correct anti-depressant at the right dosage. Keep bothering your doctor until it's right for you!!! Once you've got depression out of the way, it becomes easier and easier to find solutions to your other problems. AND GOOD NEWS!!!! The mind fog will disappear too given a little time. I think your GP can help you with that one Try rubbing some Sween Cream on your irritated skin, or olive oil. It must be hard for you but there is always someone out there with something much worse. I think the way to handle it is to accept it and live your life as best you can. The first thing you need to do is get rid of all of your toxic household and laundry cleaners as many are registered pesticides. Take them to your nearest toxic waste recycling place as it is ILLEGAL to put them in your regular trash for disposal. Switch to all natural cleaners and then have someone come in and clean your entire home with the new products including shampooing the carpets and furniture with the non toxic products. Have someone wash all of your clothing, bedding etc in the non toxic laundry products. Be sure you do not use any products with artificial sweetners as this can be part of the cause. Take a good mulitvitamin and antioixdant supplement daily that are well absorbed by the body. Research brands that are well absorbed by the body online or email me for a recommendation. Use a good grape seed extract too every day. There is hope but only if you make these types of changes and get rid of the toxic products in your home etc. If you haven't done so already, you really need to be talking to you GP, a specialist, etc. If you have done already, explore some of the alternative medicines - there're plenty to try, though do a bit of research first and try and get some advice from people you trust. all those are fibromyalgia. My mother has it and she just has put her mind to it that she will have to live with it for the rest of her life, and she just doesn't do things to make the problems worse. When its really cold she doesn't go outside, that just makes her hurt for hours aftewards. Good Luck, and another thing that she says really helps and she doesn't like things touching her is, a massage therapist, this helps relax the muscles, and really helps her! Good Luck! try this web site it may help Your symptoms sound a lot like Fibromyalgia, but they also sound a lot like Lupus too. if its in your budget, get a hot stone massage. i have given quite a few people with fibromyalgia hot stone massages and they said they felt great after......its worth a try I am unable to answer as I am just sitting here in shock shaking my head at marionofs answer! Have you discussed all of the treatment options with your doctor? Perhaps you could join a group for sufferers where you can share your experiences, stories, tips etc.? |
