What's the best way to stay focused on a fitness regimine? |
I usually do great with dieting (not necessarily limiting a lot of food, but eating good, healthy stuff with lots of protein). Lately, though I've been doing terrible, eating things I'd never usually eat. I don't know what the deal is, and I'm not saying I have some sort of disorder or whatever, but it's sort of hard to quit eating bad again and stick to a healthy diet. What's something I could try? Maybe some sort of idea that would keep me from eating crap. Get your body composition (percent body fat) tested every two weeks. Sometimes, especially if people who are on a fitness regimen are weighing themselves frequently, it may be discouraging to find that they are actually gaining weight. This is not always a bad thing. Muscle is actually 15 percent more dense than body fat, which is why it is so much more important to track progress with body composition than body weight. It will really motivate you to find that after eating well and working hard, your body fat percentage is decreasing and your lean muscle tissue percentage is on the rise. Eat well but only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. To have more satisfaction out of ur food, Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will also activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals. Do not go on fast or starvation diet. A good personal trainer will keep you focussed. My trainer has created a logbook that details your nutrition and workout regime. It tracks your progress simply, which helps me greatly. buy a calender and make a fitness schedule. mark your accomplishments on the calender. involve a friend, a competitive friend that will keep you on track. start out easy, and progress harder later. believe in yourself. You could try turning it into a competition. Find a friend with the same problem and place a bet. Or compete with yourself and put a dollar in a jar every time you eat something you shouldn't. Find foods that are healthy that you also enjoy. You can also still eat foods that may not be the best for you, but cut back in portion size and balance it with better choices. Cat is right.Get a buddy and sign up at 24 hour fitness! You can get a personal trainer if you don't to go with a buddy and 24 hour fitness also has lots of specials. give away the junk food in your house, get a buddy, and give yourself time to think about if you really need whats going inside you. Look at ARNOLD SWARTZENNEGER as your idol... aim for big and youll land in between... just look back at his career his movies... hes my inspiration... definitly keeps me motivated... Become gay, those guys are always in great shape. GET A BUDDY you should walk 10000 steps a day and eventily you will get fit here try this every time u eat crap u owe ur mom or dad 5$ good luck |
