3 in 1 fitness question! Yay!?

Alright. My first question is: i have this thin layer of fat right in front of my abdominals. I just want to know if the sit ups and crunches I'm currently doing can finish the job(i can feel the Abs, just cant see 'em).

OK, number 2. i have this nasty habit of doing my workout routine rather late, usually starting an hour before I hit the hay. I wanted to know if this affects my health and/or the way i lose weight(more/less) when i exercise.

Finally, my 3rd and final question: Do those 6 minute workout routines really work? You know, those" SEE RESULTS IN 2 WEEKS!!!!" routines? I know I'm not gonna get a 6-pack in two weeks but, I have to admit: I've tried it once and it did make me feel a bit more fatigued then my usual workout.

1-No, only sit ups and crunches will not do the trick. Your abs might be really firm, but you need normal exercise and a good diet to loose fat.

2- Its always better to workout before breakfast, but it doesn't affect your health in any way if you workout late.

3-I never tried those routines, but if you want to lose weight (fat), it takes around 25min to your body to digg in those the energy stored as fat. When you do an intense exercise for a short period, your body is in the 'anaerobic' phase. This means your muscles need energy now = sugar stored in the muscle. But when you slow your pace, the body enters the 'areobic' phase and has the time to reach into the fat cells for energy.

hope this helps

While sit ups will help tighten the area around your abdomen, spot reduction of fat is impossible. The only way to see the abs would be to burn most of your fat.
