I want to open a gym/fitness center. Buy one or build one?

Should I buy an existing business or build one in a location of my choice?

As a first time investor I would buy a franchise and later build my dream gym

I would build it. You could get member's signed up before you build. Then use them as workers but tell them that it is a new workout (that way you would not have to pay them!). You could call it the "Build-A-Gym Workout.
