Which one would be better for me to take? Krav Maga or Fitness Kickboxing? Help :(?

Well I've never taken up a martial art or sport or anything like that. I"m looking to get toned, but not too much and I guess learn how to fight. Krav Maga doesn't seem too bad from a Youtube video neither does kickboxing. I know for sure that kickboxing requires a lot of energy and devotion, I also want to learn how to be self-disciplined. But I've heard that Krav Maga is brutal, and I don't want to break anyone's bones or anything that extreme. The kickboxing class is 6 days a week. The Krav Maga is 3 days. Help any help will be appreciated. :) I'm 16 and a girl if that helps.

krav maga is mad brutal and it teaches u how to kill quikly and efficiently so u can kill the next guy as for kickboxing not as good for self defence but since it is 6 days a week it is better for fitness and getting toned ur chioce martial arts or fitness exersice

well, im in karate, and im a 17 year old girl, if i had to pick id do krav maga, sure the training may be murder, but u get tougher that way, i think its good for u, i think you learn more in it than boxing.

If fitness is your main goal, than take the kickboxing class. But just bear in mind that even though you are learning to kick and punch, that it is not meant to be used for self defense.

Krav Maga is soley for self defense.

Krav Maga is overrated. And some kickboxing places actually teach you how to fight dirty, too.

Since you want to get toned, I would say go for kickboxing. Krav Maga is not really a sport as such, it trains people with the sole intent of inflicting damage, which is not really what you want out of it.

I know you didn't specify, but my personal recommendation would be to take karate if you could (it's up to you, though). From my perspective, it is very methodical in its style, and the moves require great focus and concentration to be able to execute them properly. Therefore, you are developing your alertness, getting fit and learning to fight all at the same time.

Good luck with whatever you choose, though.
