RAF; fitness training to become a legal officer? |
I don't understand why people hoping to go into the RAF as legal officers etc need to get physically very trained to stand a chance... it is just a standard fitness test all officers need? I was a photographer in the RAF for twelve years, and the answer is simple, whatever your trade or branch of the services you are in, whether an army cook, an RAF legal officer or a Naval signalman,your trade comes second in a state of emergency when you become a fighting man/woman. Legal Officers advise commanders and their staffs in the UK and overseas on administrative law, operational law and disciplinary casework and conduct Court Martial prosecutions. So you may be posted overseas and will be taught how to use weaponry and to fight should the need arise. |
