Chances of graduating Air Force BMT with Warhawk fitness honors?

What percentage of people actually accomplish this? First off, I'm not posting this question to boast, so answer if you have valid input only. I leave for Air Force basic training on Monday. I've been lifting weights for a while now, reaching a max bench of 305 while weighing 178. I'm able to do 95 push ups in the minute that you're given. I haven't tested the amount of sit ups I'm able to do in a minute, but I'm fairly confident I'll meet the Warhawk requirement by the end of my 8 1/2 week "vacation". Pull ups are not a worry of mine. My only regret is not running more. I consider myself an average runner, due primarily to the fact that I have smoked for years, and have trouble with longer distances, although a mile and a half isn't unreasonable. I know I have to do it in under 8:55. Will not smoking and training for the 8 and 1/2 weeks I'm in basic basically ensure I meet the Warhawk standard? I know I'll only get as much as I put into it, but is the Warhawk award a bit more stringent than I'm giving it credit for? I do not plan on settling with the Thunderbolt award. And tips would be greatly appreciated, especially from those who've gone through the process.

P.S. I could care less about the t-shirt and the other meaningless **** attached to it. I just want to spend more time with my family after basic. Thanks for the response(s).

I'm hoping they work everyone up to warhawk standards tbh

1st... Great job on preparing for Basic! It will only help you being fit to fight!

B... Its VERY difficult to get any personal recognition in Basic. Basic is provided to teach teamwork and selflessness with self discipline. You should be helping others who are not as fit as you instead of pushing for yourself only.

9er... Why? You want what out of it? The personal knowledge that you did it? The recognition from your 1st duty station? Peers? Or that oh SO cool T-SHIRT...??? LOL!

Forgive me... You have goals! You go for your goals but once you get into Basic, the TI's will most likely see to it to force you to either not make it to that goal in hopes of breaking your "competitive selfishness" or you yourself will purposefully not make it due to the act of helping others simply PASS the PT Tests!

btw..to answer your question..it IS possible but very difficult!
