I need help improving my physical fitness? I need to run 800m in an athletics competition and do well? |
At the moment, i cant run for 800m without stopping, how do i work up to doing this? also, once i am able to run 800m without stopping, how do i improve on my time? thanks x OMG Zombie. Stop ANSWERING so many of my questions. Okay, if you want a professional way to do it, try interval training. Sprint for 400 meters, (yeah I know it's a tall order, but bite the pain.) and walk for 100 meters and do these two cycles again and again until you are 'used' to the burning feeling that goes on in your whole entire body. What you need is to build up your lactic acid tolerance, and the only way you can do that is to push yourself to the limits- 90% heartrate (think that coppery feeling in the back of your throat when you feel like you're 'dying'.) when doing 400's at the VERY least. OMG, stop asking so many questions. keep trying |
