I have the flu and lack an appetite...what are some good things to eat?

i don't have anymore chicken noodle soup :( i have instant mac and cheese, oatmeal, ramen, crackers...what would you suggest?

awwww...i hate the flu, so much !
Okay, for sure drink LOTS of gatorade and sip on it. you need your vitamins, and need to stay hydrated.

Since you have lack of an appetite, (as I always do), I eat light foods such as toast with a little peanut butter on top (or whatever you want on top of it, but just put little on). I'll also eat some crackers (plain), because their light and a little salty and dont upset my stomach. What you could also eat is a small portion of fruits such as grapes, or peaches (the ones that are bought canned are sweet and delicious to me). I hope this helps, trust me, eat and drink the stuff that I suggested. Feel better soon! <33

smoothes

When my daughter had it a while back, all she wanted was cold seedless grapes.
Hope you feel better soon!

Try crackers and ginger ale. ramen is also good but put some frozen peas or corn in it to get vitamins.

at least drink plenty of gatorade to get your vitamins

this can't be said enough - LIQUIDS (clear)
sprite, lemonade, water water water, soups - noodle, broth soups, and crackers
Intake lots of zinc

i just had the flu and all i could eat was buttered toast and orange juice. feel better!

Ooooo, ramen is the best. cover yourself with a blanket, pop in a movie, and enjoy...

I usually like broth when I am sick, I would suggest the ramen but don't make it full strength (use 1/2 the flavor packet or extra water) - the flavor packet has a lot of salt which could make you dehydrated. Oatmeal might be good too if the texture doesn't offend you.

everything you listed is just carbohydrates. Are you in your twenties, lol? You need fresh fruit and lots and lots of liquid. Vitamens with an extra kick of vitamen c on the side would help out too.

Try to eat things with a high water content as well. That's why soup is so good. The problem with canned soup is the HIGH concentration of salt, especially if you bought it off the shelf of any company in america. Our food is higher in salt than Europe ... I guess they want us to stay fat.

breakfast cereal

Eat anything you want as long as you are not nauseous. Try eating things with protein, it will help you get better faster.
