Does having the flu make you immune to the strain that caused it? |
I know theres millions of strains, Im just holed up in my house and have nothing to do :( Ive had a fever that goes as high has 103 The Flu keeps changing. So, people do not get the same flu twice, thank God. I hope you feel better soon. I just got over a two week cold where I had a 101 fever so I sort of know what you are going through. Next year you should get a flu shot, I did and it did not make me sick. Also, in the winter you should wash your hands more. Not antibacterial because you get immunity from being exposed to some germs. I know this prevention talk is not very comforting when you are sick. Get some rest and drink lots of fluids. Pedialyte is intended for kids, but adding it to soda like 7Up can help get your electrolytes balanced no matter your age. Yes, but not forever. Probably a few months, maybe a year? Unless the strain mutates. well getting any of the strands would usualy make you more tolerant to 20-30% of them depending on which strain u get i wouldnt call it immune but eventualy after getting the flu 20-30 times of a lifetime any strain it could mutate into would most likely just give you a common cold The virus mutates all the time so you can't really build up a full resistance to it. |
