Will getting the hib immunization help prevent the flu in my 5 month old baby if she has already been exposed?

I just came down with the flu yesterday and have a 5 month old baby. I have been very carefull to wash my hands and use sanitizer and have tried not to hold her or breathe in her direction, it just so happens that she has a well baby checkup today and will be receiving her 4 month immunizations including H. influenzae type B , she already got her first dose of the vaccine at 2 months. will getting this today help at all if she has already been exposed to my germs? she had bacterial meningitis at 2 wks old (see my other questions) and i am terrified now because i know that flu causes meningitis in babies. if this happened again I dont know what I will do - I have been in tears over this, any info would be appreciated...

actually hib is for influenza and there is a seperate one for hepatitis b-
i still dont think getting the vaccine will help though - it could be too late, but i am wearing a mask so i will hope for the best...

No, but you should be wearing a mask as a precaution.

Ear infections??? Oh god...please, for your child's sake....get educated! Report It

no

hib isn't for the flu. It's a hepatitis vaccine. It won't help at all with the flu.

no it will make no diffrence at all

Hib is not the flu. It was misnamed by the scientist who discovered it. It has absolutely nothing to do with the flu, or influenza as you think of it. Hib is a type of bacteria.

The two have absolutely nothing to do with each other. Please, please do your own research about the diseases you are vaccinating for. It is very irresponsible of you to not know everything about what is going into your child's health care.
