Are there any flu types going around that were not in the vaccine?

Which ones?and how many have them?

GO TO CDC WEBSITE AND YOU WILL GET ANSWERS.

Of course. There is no way to include every strain out there.

Different strains are found from all around the world. The most common are in the vaccine.

Hi Susas. Yes, there are many types of flu that our current flu shot does not protect us from. Each year, the super smart guys in the flu think tank make their best guess as to what type of flu is most likely to hit our country each year. They have to make this decision early so that enough vaccine can be manufactured for our immunization demands. Sometimes they guess wrong. Mostly they do pretty well. My hope is that you're not asking this question because you had the flu shot and you're now confined to bed feeling lousy! Good luck.

There are always new strains of flu on the move and to provide an 'up to the moment' vaccine is an impossible task.

Researchers and Scientists do their best, I'm sure, so if you get the flu, try to get the super seeded model.
