Can Flu Medicines Leave You Feeling Drugged Up?

I have a bug or a cold or something so yesterday I had 3 or 4 lemsip max strenght. I got up this morning feeling like I'm drugged up, I feel physically shattered and I was in bed early, And then work phoned looking to know if I was going in today, I could hardly talk as I feel so dopey, almost like I'm walking around in a dream. Can these medicines leave you like this? or is it just this bug? Getting sick with me is a rare occurance, once every 4-5 years

its the bug go back to bed

Yes it can. You are usually warned neither to drive nor operate heavy machinery.

i think the 4 lemsips were ok it sounds like flu stay in bed!

It's probably a bit of both , go back to bed and sleep ot off

they can leave you feeling drowsy

if it was lemsip then it has a decongestant in it which should actually wake u up rather than leave u feeling sleepy so i would guess its the illness. get back to bed u will get over it quicker if u take a bit of time off and relax.

Yes! You say that you do not become ill very often so I assume that you do not take alot of medications. If this is the case your body will be sensitive to medicines. In the future you should try and only take half of what the recommended dose is.

lemsip suppose to help u on this, but i recommend 1 clove of crashed garlic boiled wiv milk and 1 tea spoon of honey after an hour one glass of orange juice warm it a little add half a lemon squeeze and 1 teaspoon honey before bed ,,,helps a lot, do this for three nights u will see ur self filling gr8. don't worry about the breath smell it will be gone in a morning.
get well soon.
