Is there a stomach flu/diarrhea bug going around right now?

Just got sick on Monday.

Don't know if it's a virus or something i ate

I have the same problem last sunday. Doctor said it is gastric pain.. but my parents and friends also have the same problem.. i think it might be the "season"..

Very uncomfortable..

Try to eat antacid (medicine) 500g 1 tablet will do fine.. and have enough rest, have enough clean plain water to rehydrate yourself.. try to avoid spicy, fried, oily foods. Eat something light on the stomach (e.g. porridge)

Head colds and the flu are going around everywhere.I try to do Airborne or Zicam before I get sick. You might want to load up on vitamin C,but it won't stop you from getting the flu.

yep about 100,, lol ,, stay away from kids, wash your hands, take your vitamins and good luck,, i've been sick since christmas!!! with a virus or stomach flu or head cold or UTI lol u name it i been sick since ,,,, i see the doc tomorrow lol finally,, i gave in,, so good luck and take care

Yes, well there is in southern london, its gastreopherosis or somthing Heehee, ii havent caught it yet, but lots of my friends, family and family friends have. Hope you get better.

Always this time of year in the US. I've been seeing patients with gastritis, flu (viral infection), and lots of colds.
I even got sick suddenly on X-mas morning and was down for 5 days
Wash your hands frequently, drink lots of fluids, especially water, get your rest and stay warm
No antibiotics for viral infections, however there are some anti-viral meds on the market that do lessen the severity and duration of viral infections
Ask you MD if he prescribes them

I got sick pretty suddenly sunday night. started out as serious vomiting, but now is diarrhea. (traffic light got switched on where the water goes) happened to see a news cast that said the answer to your question is yes. this years Flu vaccines would have protected you (apparently they don't always get it right but did this time) .. and there is sometime you can still get within the first 24-48 hours but i forget what it was called. (if i had health insurrance i prob. would have gone, cuz the first day especialy was ultra sucky) generaly a 7 day illness but flu's can also be deadly for the less fortunate. not very fun, but i'm using it as a transition point to quit smoking and drinking caffene
