Are these normal flu symptoms?

i have stomach aches, nausia, but not throwing up, i feel like i have to pee alot, lower back pain, ear clogging, cold and hot sweats, headaches, and slight pressure in my chest

Wonder gave you the symptoms of the common cold. . .which most people confuse with the flu these days.

The flu is nausea, vomitting, listlessness, headaches, sweats, fever. The peeing a lot and pain in back sound more like a bladder infection, it could be causing the flu like symptoms. I'd have it checked out. Try drinking some 100% cranberry juice.

It sounds like you may have a couple things going on with the chest and ear thing too.

Don't do refined sugars, they suppress the immune system. Artificial sweeteners do too. Honey, turbinado, molasses and stevia are your best options - in moderation.

Yes, Wonder, those are the symptoms of the common cold. Docs are calling it the flu these days. 20 years ago it was called the common cold - before the pharma cos came up with a money making shot to supposedly prevent it. People are more worried about the flu than the cold, so they renamed it. I see you added nausea and diarrhea to the end of the list as "possible" symptoms. Even the FluFacts page lists those as standard, and runny nose as possible. Flu IS nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea - all the other symptoms are 'possible.' They can call viruses whatever they want, but how you treat the flu and how you treat the common cold are two completely different things. So, calling the cold a flu is just sending people into a treatment that WON'T help. That is the biggest concern. Getting the treatment to match the actual ailment. If you look at most flu remedies in the stores, they are actually meds for the common cold too.

i have all of those symptoms...i certainly hope they are all just normal flu symptoms..

The common symptoms of the flu include:

* Fever (usually high)
* Headache
* Muscle aches commonly in the back, arms, or legs.
* Chills
* Weakness
* Extreme tiredness
* A dry cough, runny nose, and dry or sore throat.
* Stomach symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, may also occur

relax...you have a typical flu...

you are worrying too much about it.it is flu season.

the pee and lower back pain aren't normal flu symptoms. might be infection. if it were flu you'd have throwing up or diarrhea with the nausea. the nausea can be caused by infection. you may need to see a doctor.

i agree with zambiti about the flu name being changed too. i've never seen so many people with a cold calling it the flu.
