Fighting the flu?


My boyfriend had the flu this past week and I stayed home to take care of him. I have been drinking OJ, eating yogurt, taking vitiams, washing my hands and sanitizing everything he touches. I know my body is fighting it off and I am have been tired. I slept 12 hours last night. I have been feeling a slight sore throat. Is there something else I can do to help my body fight against this flu. Or lessen the symptoms if I do get it.

Keep drinking plenty of water and OJ, and taking vitamins, getting real food for real nutrition, and plenty of sleep. You can try over the counter products like Thera-flu. They always help me. At this point, you might not be able to prevent it, but you can help yourself get through it.

I usually make something full of spice and garlic like a pot of green chili or a spicy stir fry. It genearly flushes the virus out. Use PLENTY of garlic as garlic is a natural antibiotic.

You probably sleep too much. Too much sleep weakens your immune system

Keep doing what you are doing.There is no cure for it,just wait it out.

If you feel you are getting the flu, head to your doctor. There is medication that can help within the first 48 hours.
