Help, bad flu symptons?

I have the flu and went to the hopsital and they said the only thing they could do was prescribe me some vicodin and take tylenol. These have been my symptoms anyone experiencing the same thing or have any suggestions?
*Instead of muscle aches, my bones ache and it hurts to touch my skin- very tender
*My fever for about 4 days now consistantly shoots upwards of 102 - 103
*I'm so congested my chest burns and I feel like I'm blowing out my brain when I blow my nose, now I blow out a log of blood.
*When i blow my nose as I start I have terrible pain in the back of my head
*On liquid diet, 4 now, when I tried bread n water, fever went up.
*Can get my fluids to stay down. Like a clogged sink, when I drink they are still in the top of my throat n I end up coughing them up
*dizziness Naseau
*sometimes I'm freezing and feel the need for instant warmth
*horrible coughing with phlem
*headache behind the eyes
*When I breathe I can hear congestion
HELPPPP

The bad part about it is when I got to the emergency room, there were about 50 other people in there for the same thing; saying this is a different strain and they are classifying everyone with the same thing :( On top of that, I've never blown my nose so much and felt like I ruptured my brain. Not to be too gross, but i have very very thick mucus and very thick blood coming out with it. I get bloody noses sometimes, but this only happens when i blow it.

I just got over the exact same thing. They tested for flu twice with both tests coming up negative. So they gave me a Zpac and sent me on my way. Was feeling better about 2 days later. Its been a week now, and beside weak appetite I'm feeling much better.

-Not sure how to reply on here so i just clicked edit?? Anyway, Zpac is generic zithromax. Standard antibiotic from what i understand. Basically exact same symptoms as you. Started last wed night. I woke up about 3am sweating but freezing. Rolled up in a lil ball and fell back asleep. Woke up and went to work. Was there about two hours with a 103 temp and felt like i was about to pass out. So went to doc and they said the flu test was negative but was giving me an antibiotic for the sinus/chest infection. Stayed in bed Fri-sun asleep or half asleep and choked down as much OJ as possible. Made it to work Monday but still really weak from not eating for a few day. I guess with the antibiotics helped my body to get over it. If not doc said it would have turned into pneumonia real quick. Hope this helps, i been there and its hell. Also know about 10 ppl with same thing but not as bad, theirs was more of a 24hr thing.

Do you have a regular doctor? Often, they do a MUCH better job of dealing with routine stuff. Emergency rooms work best for genuinely life threatening issues.

If you can't hold down at least liquids, you need to see a doctor, even if it's at an ER (an urgent care clinic would be better and cheaper). That can kill you faster than any of the other symptoms.

They can give you phenegran suppositories so you will stop vomiting and be able to drink some liquids and maybe eat some food.

Besides, after this many days, you probably should be seen again just to be sure it's viral and not something they need to cure. Sometimes viruses leave you open to bacterial infections that do need medications.

It doesn't sound like the flu to me. Hypersensitivity to the touch is definitely not a symptom of the flu. You need to go back to the hospital, a different doctor. It doesn't even take a nurse to realize that the flu is the wrong diagnosis for your symptoms.
