Help, bad flu symptons? |
I have the flu and went to the hopsital and they said the only thing they could do was prescribe me some vicodin and take tylenol. These have been my symptoms anyone experiencing the same thing or have any suggestions? The bad part about it is when I got to the emergency room, there were about 50 other people in there for the same thing; saying this is a different strain and they are classifying everyone with the same thing :( On top of that, I've never blown my nose so much and felt like I ruptured my brain. Not to be too gross, but i have very very thick mucus and very thick blood coming out with it. I get bloody noses sometimes, but this only happens when i blow it. I just got over the exact same thing. They tested for flu twice with both tests coming up negative. So they gave me a Zpac and sent me on my way. Was feeling better about 2 days later. Its been a week now, and beside weak appetite I'm feeling much better. Do you have a regular doctor? Often, they do a MUCH better job of dealing with routine stuff. Emergency rooms work best for genuinely life threatening issues. It doesn't sound like the flu to me. Hypersensitivity to the touch is definitely not a symptom of the flu. You need to go back to the hospital, a different doctor. It doesn't even take a nurse to realize that the flu is the wrong diagnosis for your symptoms. |
