My 6 year old has been out of school for 4 days with this nasty flu and high fever now her temp is 100.2 now?

in the other ear it says 99.5 would it be awful to send her to the party? she had 4 days worth of zithromax.

Your child's temperature should be below 99 for a full 24 hours before you allow her to be around other children. If your child wasn't good enough to go to school, why go to a party?

you shouldn't, but since you are considering it anyway--take her temperature again a couple of hours before party, if it is still slightly up, give medicine wait 45 min. and see if it has affected the temp. reading--if it gets no higher than 100.5--any higher than that and she should not go--sometimes those readings are actually a "normal" temp for body that day (this I was told by a dr. and nurse)--but because she has been sick it also can be a temp.

i feel that if they've been out of school and are still showing symptons they shouldn't go. You said it's the flu; zithromax doesn't work for the flu.

Are you serious? No, you do NOT take your sick child to a party. Do you want to spread it to every child there? Be responsible. Keep your child at home, let her rest, let her heal, and don't be the catalyst for someone else's child to end up ill.
