Is my period supposed to be late if i had the stomach flu? |
Because i am late already by 3 days and my whole family had the flu.. does that mess up my cycle? because i hate not knowing when my period is coming.. i got all the cramps that i get before i get my period and then i took midol... did that do something? Sometimes if you have a really bad flu your body will get thrown off track and it make take some time to you body to get back to normal. This is because you body is not use to having a flu and if it is it can normally fight it off. But if your body gets it then your body is so busy using everything it has to fight the flu off that it gets off course and may take a while like after your flu is over because it doesn't want you to die or get even worse so until then it may be a little off. The flu has no effect on your cycle. The change in your diet, medicine, and having to fight the sickness could effect it. i would have to say no b ecause i had the flu once when i was on my period so yeah Maybe if your immune system got really weakned and you were extremely tired out it may be late but I mean you would have to have had a SEVERE case of the flu. Your flu has nothing to do with it, and your pregnant so congratulations. have you exercised a lot lately that will alter it. (Such as swimming) Having the flu should not affect your cycle, as long as it was really the flu, and not morning sickness. yeah, being sick like that and, already stated, changes in diet and medicines can affect your cycle, especially if it's kind of unpredicable already. Any illness, new meds or stress can effect your cycle. hi in least u have had sex and think u could be pregnant? i wouldn't worry, the female body is a strange thing sometimes x Stress of any kind can affect your cycle. Due to stress I have been more than 3 weeks late before. So try destressing for a day, and see if that helps. Or you could get an EPT just to check if there is any possibility you might be pregnant. It depends on how old you are and how long you have been having a period. If you are a teen, it can be up and down a bit here and there. If you are having sex, I hope is it always with a condom, because 1/3 of teens have a sexually transmitted disease. That can cause you to be late on your period. The stomach flu would not usually cause you to be late, but the stress of having everyone sick might. If it is late more than a week and you are having unprotected sex, than of course, you could be pregnant. If not, and it does not come on after two weeks or so, you should see your doctor. Good luck! |
