Help! What to do? Am still really sick with flu and I have a class today...?

I have a paper due today and it's done, but I don't feel well enough to attend should i email my professor my paper with a short explanation of my absence or suck it up and go?

... I might e-mail the professor early with the paper and an explanation but ask if he or she would still like you to attend and bring a hardcopy. If they're nice and understanding, they'll tell you, "no, don't come in if you're feeling lousy." If they're strict, they might say, "no, don't come in - but you'd better have a doctor's note" or "yes, please come it." Then you can take it from there.

If something important is happening (besides your paper being due), I hope you have a phone number or e-mail address you can call to get notes. Visiting your professor's office hours later this week when you feel better is a good way to show them you're taking their class seriously (if you end up not attending tomorrow).

In general, I try and get to class even when I feel yucky, but you said you don't feel "well enough to attend" and you know yourself pretty well! If you're really sick, stay home and get some good rest, for goodness sake! I hope you feel better soon. At least you care enough to ask this question. =)

That's what happened to me once, I ended up emailing my essay to my teacher, she was cool with it.

Stay home and rest. You won't really learn anything if you won't be able to concentrate. Plus it might take you longer to heal than if you just take one day to recuperate.

If you can drive, go to class & turn
in your paper, then ask to be excused because you're sick. If you came to class, maybe they won't count it as an absence.

What I would do is call the professor on the phone to explain. Even if you just have to leave a message, at least you've tried to communicate with him. Email him the paper, then go to the doctor to get a medical certificate. Show this to your professor the next time you go in. He/she can't argue with a genuine medical reason. Also you don't want to share your flu with your classmates!!!
