What is good to eat when you have the flu?? |
My mother said I have the "flu" so i have dieria, and I was pukeing, but i have stopped, but what is GOOD and what is BAD to eat when I have these symptoms? Is scrambbled eggs okay? chicken soup and crackers jello. Chicken noodle soup, if ya can't eat or it has a hard time staying down, ensure or sports drinks to replentish electrolites. Bananas, saltine crackers,dry toast, tea, apple juice, ginger ale, Popsicles, After a while you can have simple cereal, like Rice Crispies, or cheerios with non fat milk. If you can handle those foods, try some chicken noodle soup.Avoid fatty food, don't eat fried foods, wait a little while before trying to eat a whole meal, start with small meals more frequent than 3 times a day. and avoid over-eating, Don't force yourself to eat, take it slow. Usually after 72 hours your will lessen and you will begin to feel better. It is important that during the vomiting and diarrhea phase that you take some Gatorade or pedialyte to avoid the dehydration,. Dehydration makes it harder to get better quickly and can be dangerous. If your symptoms go on for more than 3 days, or if you cannot keep any liquid down, see your doctor.. If your diarrhea or vomit has blood in it, see your doctor. To avoid getting sick like this and to avoid spreading it, always wash you hands before eating and after using the bathroom.Take care! Eggs are definitely not okay.
