Is it possible to make myself get the flu?

if so, how do i do it? i'm so fed up with school, that being off for about a week sounds great right now...even if i have to be sick & weak to do it. if the flu isn't possible, how can i make myself sick? and please don't tell me i should just get through the situation...i do that every day. and don't say i need to talk to my parents about it either...i've tried it, and they don't care. they said that the only way i can stay home is if i'm really sick. i can't fake it either...my mom can always tell.

I wouldn't if I were you. Last time I got the flu, I had to get two suppositories and a shot in my butt! They used a 4 inch long needle with this HUGE syringe!!!!! (sorry, btw, a suppository is powder medicine inside of wax that they shove up your butt and it REALLY burns!!!!!!!)

Weaken your immune system and hang around all the sick people! Know anyone with the flu? Lol. Deprive yourself of sleep and stay away from any extra vitamin C you might be getting. Usually the sleep deprivation is enough to weaken my immune system enough to at least catch a cold. If you're prone to ear infections or something or have any allergies, expose yourself to allergens. If I get a snotty nose from a cold or allergies or something and blow my nose too much and too hard, it backs up my eustachian tubes enough that I usually get some sort of sinus infection or ear infection. You could always make yourself throw up and make your skin damp and tell your parents you thing you're coming down with something. lol, might buy you a day at least. Hope everything gets better for you, and that school gets to be a little more bearable.

That is the most foolish question ever. Flu might sound like a common illness and it pretty much is... but the young and elderly can die from it. People die from influenza every year. You cant MAKE yourself get the flu, and if you make yourself sick that just makes you a fool.
