How dangerous do you think is bird flu?

How dangerous do you think is bird flu?

Bird flu is potentially very dangerous. To date there have been 373 reported cases in humans with 236 deaths. That's about a 63% death rate. It is extremely difficult to catch bird flu. It requires extreme contact with sick and dead birds. Unless you raise chickens in your house or work in a market; you aren't likely to get it. The concern is if the bird flu "mixes" with a human flu and mutates to create a brand new virus that could start a pandemic... Wikipedia has some great articles on bird flu, the H5N1 strain, pandemics, etc.

it is very dangerous, it has a 93% kill ratio in those infected. I think the potential for the bird flu being the next global pandemic is very high.
