How do you treat/cure the stomach flu? |
My 19 month year old baby sister has a stomach flu and she keeps vomiting. She won't eat anything. Medicine, Food, Water, nothing... If she does eat, she quickly vomits it right back out. All of it. Give is a day or day and a half. Keep pushing liquids, and try toast and flat 7up, like you would an adult. My son recently had it and I freaked out, went to the ER and they told me there is really nothing you can do but be paticent and wait it out, try and give her tylenol or motrin if she has a tempature. Keep a watch on the temp and make sure she gets lots of sleep and love. If she's only 19 months old, I'd take her to the doctor. Or, if it's bad enough, take her to the emergency room. If she can't keep anything down, she's in trouble, especially at that age. |
