Should I go to the ER with flu symptoms after 7days? |
I have been sick with the flu for 7 days. My symptoms have barely improved. Today I woke up and have been very dizzy and off balance. I nearly passed out in the bathroom. It is my primary MD's normal day off and I am not sure if I should go to the ER to be seen? YES it could be pneumonia i would if you worried, better to be safe than sorry. Ive felt bad with flu for a couple of weeks however Go to the hospital, oh and have someone else drive you there yes you need to go to ER b/c they will perform a chest Xray to see what type of flu you have and what antiboctics to give to you.. my daughter got that flu bug and I got her to the ER right on time.. Start drinking plenty of liquid ok Chances are that there is little they can do for you this late in the game if you do have the flu. If you go in at the beginning stages...they can give you something to lower the amount of days that you have it. I would probably just see the regular Dr unless you are having trouble breathing, or have an infection (such as sinuses etc...), or are in the high risk category. The ER is the last place you want to go. If you're not dying, those people don't even want you in there. Your best choice is a private doctor and many of them will see patients on an urgent basis. All large cities have clinics that specialize in your need. Find them in the yellow pages under 'minor emergency clinics'. ok, yes you could be dehydrating.seek help asap i get like that at times ,but i have a ear infection that caused mine , felt like a drunk, sit up every thing going round an round. ,,,,i would try a few quik-tips,, bet you find a junkyard in there.. good luck.. call your doctor too No. The flu can take awhile to get over. I had the flu when I was 10. I was horribly sick for 8 days. They won't give you much for the flu at the ER and you'll be stuck paying a ridiculously high bill just for that. The ER deals with serious emergencies. A flu case would actually be wasting their time.Just give it a few more days. If you are still not well in a day or two, go back to your doctor and ask to have tests done. Get well soon. |
