Rash all over body after flu shot?

I had the flu shot on Wednesday and today I started having this rash that appeared around the area where the injection was injected into my arm. As the day went on, my body became a bit itchy and right now, my entire upper body, chest, stomach, back, shoulders, arms and even my forehead is covered in a red rash. The only place I don't have the rash at the moment is my legs. I had a severe and throbbing headache yesterday and by mid afternoon today I had another throbbing headache.

It's night time here now. I live in Aus. Does this sound like the rash could be a side effect from the flu shot and the headaches perhaps too? Could it be serious? Should I phone my doctor in the morning to try to get in to see her? I also took my temperature before and it was 37.1C. Is this considered high?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

be careful. Allergic Reactions, including hives and anaphylaxis can be life-threatening, but fortunately are rare, and can triggered by residual egg proteins in people allergic to eggs or to other components of the flu shot.

Also, the headache is a very common and harmless side effect. it should not last more than 2 days.

If you start to have any trouble breathing or your throat feels funny or like a tickle in it then go straight to the hospital.

if it were me and the rash had spread that much I would not wait until morning. But you have to judge that for yourself.

This could be a reaction to one of the ingredients in the shot. I would recommend getting a hold of your doctor thru the after hours line now if they have one available to see if your doctor is on call to let her know what's going on.
