I think i caught the flu?

I have the chills, i am nauseous, but am not throwing up, and i get light headed and dizzy really easily. Idk if i have a fever. Does this sound like the flu to you?

i have no appetite and haven't really eaten or drank anything all day

Flu symptoms can be mild or severe 鈥?and if they鈥檙e mild can become severe without much notice. Be aware of your body and monitor your body temperature. Flu symptoms can come on suddenly 鈥?be sure you know your treatment and prevention options so you can be prepared.

The common symptoms of the flu include:

* Fever (usually high)
* Headache
* Muscle aches
* Chills
* Extreme tiredness
* Dry cough
* Runny nose may also occur but is more common in children than adults
* Stomach symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, may also occur but are more common in children than adults

You don鈥檛 need to experience all of these symptoms to have the flu. If you have one or two, it's recommended that you see your doctor. We've prepared a list of helpful questions to ask your doctor to help you make the most of your visit.

lol, of course. Take Advil!!

not rlly r u eating or drinking lots of water?

yeah get off the computer and lay in bed!!
PEPTO BISMAL!

you are sick, but it depends on your temperature. you sound like yo have a cold.
drink lots of fluids and rest!

Had the exact same thing the other night....Could very well be a strain of the Flu.

Weather it is flu or not you are sick and you should see a doctor

Yes, ive had it. Stay away from peoples, it spreads easily-ish

Could be
or sounds like you are coming down with it.
Take Advil or something like that, to help with the chills ans any other kind of pains you are having.

You really need to check your temperature, just on the safe side.

Hope you feel better. =)

yeah. specially since you say you have chills. i always get chills and get dizzy when i get the flu. Better go rest up. Also, take some advil, tylenol, or sudaffed. Whichever you prefer. You should also eat stuff with plenty of vitamin C in it. There's this immunity booster called Airborne. You should probably drink some of that if you have it at home or are close to a drug store.
I dunno if you'd want to, but there's this thing called Ginger soup, and you'll have to boil some ginger and but like alittle bit of sugar. you can put lemon juice and orange peel in there too if you want
and drink lots of water

Could be. Maybe it's just the 24 hour bug. I had that over the weekend, and actually didn't feel completely 100% better until today. Take it easy, you're probably contagious so stay away from people, plenty of clear fluids and rest. Saltines and bananas are good to eat but don't eat much other than that. Applesauce is ok too. Some rice maybe. Alka-setlzer and ginger ale sooth the stomach.

Definitely. Don't you just hate getting the chills? And dizziness? Sucks

Do you have any facial pain?? Ears popping?? You could have an ear infection or sinus infection....which will take an antibiotic possibly....Something like Claritin D will help if these are some of your symptoms...The flu is usually more of a severe ache all over with headache, fever, chills and sometimes a cough.....

Your best bet is to have a doc check you over in case it is a bacteria infection such as sinus or ear infections.

If you do have the flu and catch it within 48 hours they can give you something like Tamiflu that can really help out

No this is definitely not the flu. Contrary to popular belief there is no nausea or vomiting associated with Influenza. "The Flu" is known for a constant violent vicious non-productive cough. The cough alone causes severe muscle fatigue in the upper-body. It is usually paired with a high fever, extreme fatigue and a general struck by a truck feeling. It's can last for as long as two weeks..
....also all these people telling you to take Advil are misinformed Advil/Ibuprofen are anti-inflammatories..great for headaches and generalized body pain..but it will do absolutely nothing for your listed symptoms.

Despite what you hear and common belief, there are no exact symptoms that define what is considered a cold (bacterial infection) and a flu (viral infection). You doctor will have to swab what you have and they can only determine what you have in a LAB.
There is nothing you can do to control the chills. The chills is a reflex mechanism that deals with the fever and you will have cycles of fevers and chills. Fevers is a sign of elevated body temperature which help kill infectious organisms (wheather bacteria or virus) to a certain degree. Light headed and dizzyness is due to changes in blood pressure while your immune response deals with the infection.
To deal with the fever use tylenol. Advil or aspirin tends to upset the stomach. Take 1-2 tablets (325 mg tablet) every 4 hours as needed and see your physcian to get diagnosed. Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water (even though you don't feel thirsty).
