Does taking the flu shot really help? |
I just got over it and it sucks never want it again Doctor stated that a flu shot can not help with ever strain of flu out there , but can help with a lighter case. yes, usually it does IF they pick the right strains. probably at least somewhat In some cases. There are so many different versions and staines(sp) of the virus that they can't really make a flu shot to protect against it. They just make one to protect against the one that effected the most people the season before. Or at least that is how it was explained to me. In my experience the shot has only caused me (and multiple family members) to get sick. My fiance's mom is a nurse and she warned us NOT to get it because its hurting more than helping. You don't TAKE a flu shot, you receive one! A flu shot usually has antibiotics for 4 strains of the flu, so, yes, it will prevent those ones. |
